Here we go

Girls swimming
AT DUNLAP: Notre Dame junior Taylor Streid pulled off a unique individual double by winning the 50-yard freestyle (:26.40) and the 500 free (5:26.98) in season bests as her team beat Dunlap/Illinois Valley Central 109-77. Streid also was part of two victorious relays.
ND freshman Becky Stoughton won the 100 free (:55.54) and the 100 backstroke (1:02.92) and was on the winning 200 medley relay.
"We wanted to see what people could do in their off events," said ND coach Derek Amerman, whose team won nine of the 12 events. "It was more of a laid-back atmosphere. They still swam hard, but we didn't have as much pressure for them to perform, since we weren't going for best times in their main strokes."
D/I junior Kelsey Clemson turned in the Journal Star area's best six-dive score this season, 201.10. D/I senior Courtney Taylor won the 200 individual medley (2:26.62) and anchored a come-from-behind victory in the 200 free relay (1:47.73).
"I was proud of the way the girls swam," D/I coach Jim Bucher said. "Normally we're a little intimidated by Notre Dame, but I've been trying to convince them they can swim with anybody, that they are just going for best times."
