Irish Invite - Swimmer of the Meet

There are many ways to earn Swimmer of the meet. A few of our new athletes impressed me with their huge efforts. Nicholas Redshaw performed 11 dives today. No PND diver has ever learned 11 dives so quickly. Matt Pierz showed some big confidence in conquering the 500 Freestyle today. He took it out strong and stayed strong.

We also had some more experienced athletes prove that they belong with the best. Brian Tillis is getting better every meet. He broke the 2:00 barrier in the 200 Freestyle today with a solid 1:58, and then he followed it up with 5:21 in the 500 Freestyle. Frank Gray is looking more comfortable in his new role as a sprinter. He swam a solid 54 in the 100 Freestyle, and then added icing to his cake with a 23.98 split in the 200 Freestyle Relay

This is just the start.

Also on Saturday, might I add, the Arizona High School Athletics council (ASHA) voted 5-4 to introduce the Tornado(TM) as a competitive stroke, after months of letters urging them to do so.

This is only the beginning.

How soon can we expect the Tornado(TM) to appear in MS-6 swim meets?
