Thank you Joanne for taking care of this. I also have two notes to add. For the swim meet, once it is over, we will stop to grab something to eat at like Arby's or Subway so make sure to send some money with your swimmer(s).

Second, the JDRF walk is this weekend. We want to have all swimmers meet at Glen Oak Park at the playground equipment at 12:15. Last year as a team we raised $757.00. We would like to get over the $1000.00 mark this year. Please get as many donations as you can. This is for a great cause and the Coffey family really appreciates our support.

Weekend / Next Week Update. Thanks to the coaches and team for a great start to the season!
Here are a few items to note for the Saturday meet in Sterling and announcements for next week:

The swimmers should be at the ND back parking lot by 8:15 AM on Saturday morning. The bus WILL LEAVE THE PARKING LOT at 8:30 AM -- there will be no waiting for late arrivals!! Remind the girls to pack a snack or two for the bus and/or the meet, and have some cash available for lunch.
The team coolers, stocked with water and gatorade, will be available during the meet. Remind the girls to keep replenishing fluids throughout the meet! (Thanks to the parents who are working behind the scenes to stock coolers and to Vicky and Mike Stoughton for coordinating.)
Diving begins at 8:30 AM and Swimming begins at 11:00. Spectator space is very limited at Sterling, so you might want to bring a folding chair along.
The bus should return to ND at approximately 6:00 PM. If your daughter wants to ride home with you (her parent) or another parent, Derek must receive a note giving such permission directly from YOU!!! (Second-hand messages not accepted!)

Upon returning to Peoria, parents are encouraged to attend the Boosters Pig Roast at ND. All-you-can-eat dinner from 4:30-8:00 (Admission $10) or join the fun later for music/games/'gambling' from 8:00-11:30 PM. (Must be 21 to attend)
Please show your Swim/Dive spirit by wearing a S/D shirt of some type (any season/any style!!) This is a great way to promote the swim/dive family within the ND community.

Julie Streid is coordinating the sale of really cute ND scarves for $20 (team fund-raiser). If you are willing to peddle scarves at the Pig Roast, come find Julie (or she may find you!!). Also, Julie would like to have a couple of volunteers (soph, jr, or senior parents) to sell scarves next Thursday at Back-to-School night (6:30 PM). If you are willing to help, contact Julie at j.streid@comcast.net

Remember that the practice schedule changes effective Monday, Sept 8th!! Practices at Woodruff will be from 6:45-9:30 PM.

Mark your calendar for a Team Dinner next Friday night at the Hobin's. Dinner will be at 6:00 pm so the girls can get to the football game if they wish. (No evening practice on Friday) Plan ahead for the bus departure to Neuqua Valley/Naperville at 6:30 AM on Saturday the 13th!
