Notre Dame won four varsity events, including two by sophomore Becky Stoughton, to win the Water Warrior Invitational in Sterling. DeKalb was second, 23 points behind the Irish's team score of 488.
"It was a great meet," ND coach Derek Amerman said. "DeKalb has some nice young swimmers. It's nice to go to this meet and compete against people like that and do as well as we did."
Stoughton won the 100 butterfly (:59.54) and 100 backstroke (1:01.86), while Taylor Streid won the 200 freestyle (1:59.17) and teamed with Katie Galbreath, Lauren Lambrecht and Paige Sauder to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:43.62.
