Swimmer of the Meet - SHG Dual

Congratulations to Jared Martin, Matt Pierz, John Bolden, and Dan Stoughton for their swimmer of the meet performances. Jared kissed his 1:08 good-bye and went straight to 1:03 in the 100 backstroke. Matt skipped over the 40s altogether to go 5:38 in the 500 free, and Dan and John just plain swam their hearts out all day long. I was particularly proud of their 400 relay performances. Both of them swam strong legs to keep us in the race and the meet.

Swimmer of the Meet - Frosh Invite

Congratulations to all of the freshmen for their victory at the Freshmen Invite. We haven't won that meet since 2001. Not only did they win, but they set 3 meet records. Swimmer of the meet was awarded to Dane Johannsen for his solid performance in the 400 freestyle. Also the two meet record relays were honored with swimmer of the meet. The medley relay team of Jon Querciagrossa, Mark Streid, Jake Bridenbaugh, and Steve Otten set a 1:51.91 standard. The 200 Free relay of Peter Kollar, Steven Otten, Jon Querciagrossa, and Jake Bridenbaugh set a record of 1:39.93.

Important to note, PND now holds 4 of the 11 records at that meet.

Swimmer of the Meet - Eureka Dual

Congratulations to Nick Smith, Tim Schmitt, and Steve Otten for their swimmer of the meet performances at the Eureka dual. Nick swam a solid 100 in the winning 400 free relay, Tim dropped four seconds in the 100 fly, and Steve continued to drop time in the sprint events.

Conference Meet Schedule

Conference will be held at Richwoods high school on Saturday, Feb 2. The diving competition begins at 9:30 am and the swimming competition begins at 1pm.

Divers should arrive at Richwoods at 7:30am and swimmers should arrive at 11am. There will not be a bus.

Here are the Freshmen Invite results. It was a record setting day. Five meet records were broken, three of them by PND. We set the meet record in the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and Jake Bridenbaugh set the record in the 50 fly.
